Building Internet Evangelism (BIE)
Rev. Dr. Ralph E. Day, Jr.

Congratulations!
You are embarking on a journey that has the potential of getting your message to millions upon millions of viewers around the world.
There are some things that you should consider before jumping into this website thing.
It would not be fair to you if I did not give you some facts that are straight-forward and the honest-to-goodness truth. A website in relation to a ministry is just as important as your sermons, your bulletin and even your parishioners. I have been disabled and unable to attend my church at times. If it wasn?t for the podcast that they have every Sunday, I would be missing a lot. I also enjoy reading the calendar to see what is going on. But I especially love to hear my pastor as he brings God?s Word to the congregation.
Your message is important. God has inspired you to preach, shepherd, teach and help win the lost. That, my friend, is THE MOST IMPORTANT JOB ON THE FACE OF THIS PLANET.
You should take your website as seriously as you do your sermons. After all, you are sending your message to the world that is outside your four walls.
I have said all of this because I have seen ministries who neglected their websites and never EVER changed the content. Don?t fall in that gap!
Now that I have gotten my sermon out of the way, you need to know, consider, decide and act upon a few things before pursuing a website. Ask yourself these questions.
#1 ? Do you have the talent to build a website? Most websites use HTML or Java computer language.
#2 ? Do you have the time to not only build a site but to maintain it? A website can take up as little or as much of your time as you see fit.
#3 ? Once you have built your website, who is going to host it? Who will post your website on the World Wide Web? Web hosting is a term that indicates just about anything. It may seem. However, what web hosting is and how it can benefit you all depends how well you know the industry and its different components.
#4 ? Do you have the funds to start up and maintain a website? Most hosting companies cost money and some of them charge a lot.
#5 ? Do you have the capability to enhance, resize and post pictures on your website? Computers, scanners and software can be a sizeable investment if you're just starting out.
We at Building Internet Evangelism.org understand that this industry may seem complicated from the outside. So before you cut the ribbon and sign up for your first, second or 30th web hosting provider, take some time and learn just how, when, what and why. The more you know, the better you'll understand what it is exactly a web host is offering.
But there is a simpler solution.
We have been building, hosting and maintaining websites for ministries around the world since we began in 2008. We currently maintain over 150 websites in countries like:
The USA, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Pakistan, India, Burma, Canada, and Haiti just to mention a few.
But here is the key to this pitch!
We build, host and maintain these websites FREE OF CHARGE!
You are probably asking how we do this. First, and foremost, this is our ministry. Just as you have a ministry, this is ours. Many of the ministries we host websites for are in poor countries. We have one congregation that meets under a tree in Kenya. No building! No pews! No sound system! Just the heat, the rain, the elephants, the lions and the hyenas. The members bring their own chairs and they worship faithfully each and every week. And God is blessing them for their efforts.
The Bible clearly tells us in Isaiah 55:11 that:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
